EMILIA WICKSTEAD AW12
Emilia Wickstead presented her AW12 catwalk show for the second time at London Fashion Week on Friday.
Located in her Belgravia Atelier, Emilia brought the collection back home with her renowned chic, feminine style taking centre stage.
Emilia’s signature pleats, billowing skirts and nipped in waistlines for AW12 were inspired by British aristocracy (think Windsor Castle) and countryside weekends spent entertaining at dinner parties and horse riding.
Traditional 18th Century influences were evident throughout and the seasonal print featured horses in paddocks in the most ladylike way possible.
Wickstead’s simple colour palette of nudes and pink contrasted against block colours of black and red to give an unexpected twist.
Elegantly worn with high waisted belts, long gloves, hair swept back to perfection and red hot lips, Emilia has perfectly combined the old with the new to reinvent the modern day woman.
Emilia Wickstead has designed yet another wearable collection that is not only transeasonal but translates to all ages and occasions.
If you’re looking for understated sexy the sheer skirts are beautiful and Emilia also provides a Made-to-Measure service.
We highly recommend visiting the Atelier and making an order before the Duchess of Cambridge makes her own appointment and the exclusive print sells out.
